COolest horror convention ever
It’s no surprise that I am a perennial consumer of all things horror. This includes attending horror themed conventions whenever I can. Back before the pandemic hit, I was fortunate enough to attend the very first Carolina Fear Fest. It was, in a word, FANTASTIC.
I met Miko Hughes (a super nice guy) and scream queen Linnea Quigley, among others. As an 80’s kid, all I can say is WOW. I also met the man who restored the Green Goblin from Maximum Overdrive, part of his Goblin Project. Talk about a labor of love! The whole process was frankly incredible, especially when contrasted with pictures of how badly damaged the original fiberglass head was before rescue. A sad thing really, to consider an artist’s work for a King movie was simply cast aside and rotting in a junkyard, but thank the dark gods for a man with a vision.
